Leading a team of 7 you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all Plan UK programmes funded by corporate and philanthropic donors. With a current portfolio worth c. £14M and an annual output of proposals worth c. £7M, this is a busy and exciting role within a vibrant unit. Working closely with Corporate and Philanthropic fundraising teams (together these 3 teams make up the Major Partnerships Unit) you will help identify strategic programmatic opportunities for new corporate partners and philanthropic funders, and ensure high quality programme delivery contributes towards Plan’s strong reputation as a partner.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of programme funding proposal development, effective project portfolio management, and team leadership. We are looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of the UK funding context for international development, as well as an understanding of the corporate, trust and major donor fundraising environment. You will bring a pragmatic approach to problem solving and a creative approach to project marketing. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing busy workload with competing deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
