Position Description

The post is Acquisition Manager which sits in the Individual Giving Unit in the Public Engagement department.

It is the role of the Acquisition Manager is to recruit new supporters to Plan, through a portfolio of regular giving and cash fundraising products through a wide range of on and off line media.

It’s a permanent contract, and it’s a full time post at 34.5 hours a week – we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday.

Required Experience

For this key role, you will need to have significant experience of working in a fundraising/marketing environment and of using direct marketing techniques. You’ll be able to lead a team, have experience of managing agencies and budgets and of working strategically with the Individual Giving and Communications management teams. You will also have the ability to distil Plan’s work and approach to development and present in an engaging way to a variety of audiences and present structured and cohesive arguments both verbally and in writing.

Salary and Benefits

The recruitment rate for this post (Grade 2) is £43,722 with future pay progression within the pay band to £45,965 based on performance.

Our annual leave entitlement starts at 25 days (plus public holidays) for new starters. It goes up to 30 once you’ve been with us for 6 years.

We match contributions up to 7.5% on the pension scheme and will automatically enrol anyone who has not elected to join the scheme in the third pay period of their employment, currently at a rate of 1% contributions for you and for Plan.
