Plan International UK strives to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world. Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children. We have been building powerful partnerships for children for 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.
The Policy and Programmes Directorate supports our aims by ensuring that we deliver the highest quality policy and programmes. We constantly enhance programme quality and effectiveness, raise income from institutional donors (like the British Government), and drive change through setting and influencing policy agendas. The Evidence, Learning and Impact team strengthens our monitoring and evaluation work, using this to improve our accountability to both beneficiaries and donors. A new role of Evidence, Impact and Learning Manager has been created to ensure we capture more robust evidence of our effectiveness, and improve our accountability to both beneficiaries and donors.
In this role, you will lead on the implementation of an organisational Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning framework, provide M&E technical support and guidance to Programmes teams and provide thought, leadership and vision for strengthening programme learning strategies and systems.
With substantial experience of monitoring and evaluating rights-based projects and programmes in international development, you will also have developed systems for building capacity and effectively communicating evidence and learning to improve practice. You will have good knowledge of a diverse range of qualitative, quantitative and participatory tools, and be able to represent our work effectively to relevant networks.
The deadline for applications is 9:00am on Wednesday 14 February 2018
Interviews will take place on 23 February 2018
Due to the nature of our work with children, we follow rigorous child protection policies and procedures in our recruitment process. As a result, some of our roles are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from joining us as an employee or volunteer; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.
