Plan International is a global children’s charity. We work with children in the world’s poorest countries to help them build a better future.

Plan International UK is seeking to appoint exceptional Consortium Programme Managers for key programmes in Africa and Asia. The objective at this stage is to create a roster of candidates, to facilitate the recruitment process once positions are open. Successful applicants to this roster will be considered for specific roles that are anticipated in the coming months, with employment being conditional upon Plan International UK securing donor funding.

Within Plan International UK, the Consortium Programme Manager provides overall coordination of multi-million pound projects funded by Plan International UK’s institutional donors. The individual will work closely with consortium partners and represent the consortium at both UK and international level.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing complex international development projects in close collaboration with other NGOs or private sector agencies, and with responsibility for multi-million pound budgets. They will possess experience of living and working in developing countries, be able to travel to the programme country or countries and have a proven track record in shared programme learning to improve practice.

The posts are open to individuals with generalist experience; however, individuals with technical interest or experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Economic Security;

  • Education;

  • Nutrition;

  • Resilience;

  • Gender

  • Sexual and Reproductive Health;

  • WASH.

These will be full-time posts based in Plan International UK’s London office and will be fixed term contracts that are anticipated to be between 2-4 years long (dependent on project duration). For further information please contact alice.vancaubergh@plan-uk.org
