What you need to know
The post is Programme Officer (Bids and Multilaterals) and you’ll be in the Programme department.
You will be a key player in Plan UK’s drive to expand our commercial contracts work, often as part of consortia involving organisations from the NGO, private and academic sectors. Being one of a team of 4, this post plays an integral role in writing successful bids and in ensuring that systems and processes are in place that will allow Plan to respond to published opportunities when they arise and to create other opportunities through networking and research.
It’s a permanent contract, and it’s a full time post at 34.5 hours a week.
We are based in Old Street, London (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street).
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an individual who has significant experience of work in an international development fundraising environment and preferably prior experience with commercial tenders. They should have a demonstrable interest in commercial approaches to international development. They will have experience of analysing and synthesising information into concise, persuasive documents within tight deadlines.

What we offer you
The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 3) is £37,427 with future pay progression within the pay band from £37,427 to £39,346.
We have a generous annual leave entitlement which starts at 25 days (plus public holidays) for new starters. It goes up to 30 once you’ve been with us for 6 years.
We match contributions up to 7.5% on the pension scheme (which you can join once you’ve been with us for 3 months)
