As the Programme Officeryou will support the development of Plan UK’s disasters and emergencies portfolio as part of the Disaster Risk Management Unit. This will include development and management of a significant part of Plan UK’s disasters grants portfolio, and raising the profile and professionalism of Plan UK as a disasters actor.
It’s a permanent, and it’s a full-time post at 34.5 hours a week [– we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday].
We are based in Old Street, London. (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street to be precise)
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will have experience of designing and implementing disasters projects, institutional donors’ requirements and operating styles. Experience of winning funding and overseeing projects from major humanitarian donors, as well as developing/ overseeing grant funded programmes across all phases of the programme cycle. Good analytical and problem solving skills and assessing information on humanitarian issues, working to tight deadlines is essential. A second language, in particular French or Spanish is desirable for this role.

The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 3) is £35,224 with future pay progression within the pay band from £35,224 to £37,078.
