Research and advocacy is an integral part of the Young Health Programme; aiming to ensure that national and global policy demonstrates an increased focus on adolescent risk behaviours through either strengthened regulation or increased funding and programming models.
Plan International UK is currently planning for 2018/19 and are looking to appoint an external advisor to develop a communications strategy for research and advocacy dissemination – including a focus on the World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, 21-26 May, where we will be running a report launch event.
This tender invites one consultant to:
- Develop an overarching communications strategy for health-related research and advocacy dissemination in 2018/19
- Develop and deliver a specific communications and event plan for the World Health Assembly 2018 and the UN High Level Meeting on NCDs in September.
- Support in developing specific communications products as defined the communications strategy.It is expected that the assignment will take place between March and September 2018.
The consultant will be involved in coordination and support of Plan International and AstraZeneca staff around the project. In addition, the consultant will be expected to attend the World Health Assembly in person.
The deadline for submitting the application is midday 5th March 2018. The consultant should be ready to assume the assignment no later than 12th March.
