The post is Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and you’ll be in the Programmes Department. Plan International UK is seeking to build its monitoring and evaluation capacity and this job profile is a generic one with applicants being considered for specific roles that are anticipated in the coming months, conditional upon Plan UK securing key donor funding.

We are seeking experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Specialists to ensure existing M&E systems of consortium members are effectively harmonized and strengthened to meet donor requirements. You would also be responsible for ensuring that learning from the project is properly documented and shared. This role is envisaged either to be assigned 100% to a single project or to be split 50%/50% between two projects, dependent upon project size and complexity.

It’s a fixed term contract that is anticipated to be between 2 and 4 years long (dependent on project duration), and it’s a full-time post at 34.5 hours a week – we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday. We are based in Old Street, London (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street to be precise)

The successful candidate will have experience of implementing and ensuring the ongoing development of monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks for large and complex projects.

The posts are open to individuals with generalist thematic experience; however, individuals with technical interest and experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Economic Security;
  • Education;
  • Nutrition;
  • Resilience;
  • Gender
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health;
  • WASH.

You will have exceptional quantitative and qualitative data processing and analysis skills and be able to engage effectively with dedicated consortium M&E partners. Knowledge and management of statistical software packages such as SPSS, Stata and/ or CSPRO is highly desirable.

The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 3) is £37,427 with future pay progression within the pay band from £37,427 to £39,346.

We have a generous annual leave entitlement which starts at 25 days (plus public holidays) for new starters. It goes up to 30 once you’ve been with us for 6 years.

We match contributions up to 7.5% on the pension scheme (which you can join once you’ve been with us for 3 months).
