Education in Emergencies Advisor – Fixed Term
£50,132 per annum

Plan International UK is recruiting for an Education in Emergencies Advisor to join the Disaster Risk Management (DRMU) team on a fixed term basis of up to 12 months.

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity with over 80 years’ experience of working to deliver and protect girls’ rights across the world and to address gender inequality: we are the global experts on girls’ rights.
The DRMU works across the whole spectrum of disaster work from risk reduction through to recovery, working in collaboration with many of the major NGOs in consortia and as a DEC and START Network member.

As Education in Emergencies (EiE) Advisor, you will deploy up to 60% of the time to locations where there are rapid onset as well as protracted crises, with some deployments of up to 3 months. You will support our country offices’ response to specific humanitarian crises by designing and managing effective, gender-responsive and inclusive programmes and building capacity. Between deployments, you will work on strategy and proposal development, tool development and training resources to drive Plan International UK’s strategic direction in the EiE sector.

You will have solid, relevant specialist experience working in a range of humanitarian crises and contexts, including experience of securing institutional funding and overseeing projects from major humanitarian donors and Integrating Child Protection, cash and accountability into EiE programming.
