Location: Global Hub, Woking, Surrey.Alternatively other locations where Plan International currently has a legal entity and you have the existing right to work may also be considered. Employment will be as per local terms and conditions.

The Opportunity

The Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) Specialist will provide technical support and guidance to Plan International Country Offices ensuring quality programmes in line with sectoral standards.

You will support staff capacity building across the organisation to design, deliver and monitor CPiE programmes.

Externally, the post-holder will represent Plan International in relevant CPiE fora and technical working groups. Within this role, you will ensure that gender equality is at the core of all work, and that CPiE tools and guidance have gender equality as the foundation of Plan International’s ways of working.

Have you got what it takes?

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in planning, design and implementing of CPiE programmes in a range of humanitarian contexts (such as refugee, conflict, rapid onset), along with proven experience on capacity building of staff. Proficiency in French and Spanish (written and spoken) would be an advantage, as would strong fundraising skills, ideally with a proven history of securing grants. If you have previously developed policy briefs, position papers and commissioning research, and have a good knowledge of and experience in Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian action, please do apply.
