What you need to know
The post is Assistant Programme Officerand you’ll be in the Disaster Risk Management Unitdepartment.
The position will provide general support to the management of a portfolio of on-going projects and new opportunities; provide fundraising and research support to the Disaster Risk Management Unit; lead the team’s information and knowledge management; act as a focal point for communications and liaising with other teams, both internal and external, as designated; and provide administrative support to all members of the Disaster Risk Management Unit as determined in consultation with the line manager
This is a permanent contract, Starting December 2015. It is a Grade 5 post at 34.5hours a week – we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday.
We are based in Old Street, London (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street to be precise)
What we’re looking for
The candidate must have had some prior INGO experience, with experience working for an INGO or large national NGO overseas.

The usual recruitment rate for this post (Grade 5) is £26,985with future pay progression within the pay band from £26,985 – £28,369.
Our annual leave entitlement starts at 25 days (plus public holidays) for new starters. It goes up to 30 once you’ve been with us for 6 years.
