The Policy and Programmes Directorate supports our aims by ensuring that we deliver the highest quality policy and programmes. We constantly enhance programme quality and effectiveness, raise income from institutional donors (like the British Government), and drive change through setting and influencing policy agendas.
We are recruiting a Grants Finance Accountant to support our Disaster Risk Management Unit with the management of compliance and financial risks relating to donor-funded grants, contracts and other awards.
This support will cover the entire award lifecycle, from proposal/bid stage, through to delivery, reporting, and audit, to ensure each stage is carried out to as high a standard as possible, This will include assisting with the development of programme proposal budgets, budget modifications and contract revisions, supporting the completion of donor due diligence, and helping build the capacity of Plan International colleagues in compliance with donor regulations and broader requirements. This will include travel for up to 30 days per year to Country Offices to support projects, including those in insecure environments.
You will have significant experience in a finance related role in an INGO environment and within the humanitarian context, managing grants from donors such as DFID and ECHO. You will either hold, or be working towards, a CCAB recognised qualification, and ideally will be familiar with Value for Money and International Aid Transparency Initiatives.
